Leaders in Advanced Winglet Technology

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Aviation Partners, Inc. is the world leader in the design, production and marketing of advanced-technology winglet systems. For more than three decades, Aviation Partners has helped redefine aircraft performance through innovative winglet technology that improves performance, increases range, reduces fuel burn and lowers emissions for operators around the world.

Aviation Partners’ designed winglets, now flying on more than 10,000 business and commercial aircraft, are estimated to have saved approximately 17 billion gallons of jet fuel and reduced global CO2 emissions by more than 170 million tons.

From pioneering the original Blended Winglet for the Gulfstream II to developing advanced High-Mach and Scimitar Tip winglet technologies, Aviation Partners has consistently challenged conventional thinking to deliver meaningful performance improvements for operators of Hawker and Dassault Falcon aircraft. It also developed Aviation Partners Boeing, a joint venture with The Boeing Company, to offer Blended Winglets on the Boeing Business Jet and numerous commercial airliners in the 737, 757 and 767 families. The company’s engineering philosophy remains focused on practical innovation—creating solutions that generate real-world value through enhanced range, climb improvement, payload capability, operating economics and environmental performance.

The company was co-founded by aviation entrepreneur Joe Clark, whose vision and passion helped establish Aviation Partners as a pioneer in winglet technology. Clark recognized early that aerodynamic improvements could dramatically enhance aircraft performance and worked alongside an experienced team of engineers to bring those concepts to market. His contributions helped create a foundation that continues to drive the company’s success today. Today, Aviation Partners is led by President Gary Dunn, whose career reflects nearly three decades of experience across engineering, maintenance, product support, business development and executive leadership.

Since joining Aviation Partners in 1996, Dunn has played a key role in the growth and evolution of the company. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to every major product program, working closely with customers, engineering teams, certification authorities, and industry partners to bring innovative technologies to market. His broad operational knowledge and deep understanding of aircraft performance have helped shape the company’s reputation for technical excellence and customer service.
